I really enjoyed your insight on this subject. It seems like when I preach it becomes easy to focus on the external and not the eternal. In the midst of our wavering and floundering, one stays the same, that is the love of God.

Thank you for the words. I recently hears a message about John 11:33, when Jesus arrived to find Lazarus already in the tomb, that when Jesus looked around and saw the pain and the mourning of those around Him, that He wept. But he did not weep in understanding and compassion but in outrage for their disbelief. I know that everything that God does, even when he causes us pain, it is because he loves us. There are times that we must go through what we are going through, even as much as it stinks, we need to be "left in our loss." And then when we get the whole picture, it makes sense.

Thank you for the words you spoke, as they are what my heart needed to hear. If I embraced that my God was outraged instead of weeping with us, I don't think I would like that, because that is not the Jesus I know.

Erwin,
This new series is powerful and we can't wait to get some CD's to our friends. God is moving powerfully through this series and we expect many to get a new view of God as we all learn how better to answer "Life's Toughest Questions"

We are going to be in serious prayer for you: protection for you and your family, anointing for His Words, encouragement in the face of much opposition, and a continued living Hope and Faith that what you communicate matters

We'll let you know what the responses of our friends to these messages are as well.

I really enjoyed this "sermon" because it's something I've definitely struggled with and yet I thought Erwin shed some light on the debate and yet gave me a healthy understanding that I should be struggling with questions. Thanks for putting up the podcast each week. Even out here in Columbus, listening to Erwin has reminded me of everything I miss about LA that I lack here.
