My core values are God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. My map is the Word of God. With these core things, everything else will follow. Be bold for Jesus Christ Mosaic!

We, the followers of Christ, must preach and speak the Word of God in these Last Days. To preach and speak the Word of God to those who do not yet know Christ, we must study and learn the Word of God, the Bible.

Without the Word of God, the Church will drift and wander into fables, myths and heresy and apostasy.
I encourage all Churches to return to the study of the Word of God with a renewed focus on Bible education classes for adults, teenagers and children.

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
—Hebrews 4:12

Matt,
The title "Navigator" represents those on the executive team. The navigator's goal is to serve our paid staff and ministry leaders as they serve the city, while making sure everyone is going in the right and same direction. In that way, they are also strategizers. Hope that answers your question.

Tiv,

We wouldn't describe ourselves as emergent, emerging, gen-x, or postmodern. We like to consider ourselves a church with a high view of God, a high view of people, and a high view of Scriptures. We do what we do and how we do it because we are in Los Angeles trying to reach our friends and family. We are a sixty year-old church that has seen part of our calling as creating the future to affect our city and our world. We believe mission is why the church exists; love is the context of mission; and the Scriptures are the authoritative word from God to guide us in life and ministry.

For a more in-depth look at the issue of emerging church, read Church in Emerging Culture: Five Perspectives a book edited by Len Sweet in which Erwin is the proponent of a theology which believes the message does not change but our methods should change.

Hope that helps!
