  1. Searching for a Church

Great message! I am personally sick and tired of being part of peppermint filled communities. I’ve worked for churches as the community designer, only to be discouraged from offering anything of REAL value. Let’s just pretend we reach the lost, care for the sick or bind up the broken. Let them eat peppermint!

At least I can find your podcasts and a good Crowder cd on Sundays. At least until I find the real “laffy taffy” and “nerds” or dare I say “Reese’s” among us!

  2. Searching as well

yeah I know how you feel - I think. Recently, I feel very burned out by church leadership that is too complacent or have too much of an entitlement attitude.

it seems to me churches are too conforming to culture or too separatist. It’s hard to find the ‘collaborator’ type church. Jesus was a collaborator. Not too accomodating and not too separatist/pharisee like.

as tough as it is dealing with irrelevant churches - I know He’s calling me to find some people to be missional with. Evil one wants us to separate and not go to church or to be lazy and do nothing.

Kingdom Parable about tares and wheat has been helping me out. each church has bad seed sown into it but we can’t weed them all out. Angels will do this in the last days. Matt. 13

I hope I can stay encouraged to ‘press on’ Searching-for-a-Church. mosaic has a high view of people and high view of God as i’m finding out now.

Jesus really challenged the then current structure that the Pharisees had. and He preached from the hillside as common people listened for 3 days. he hung out with tax collectors ..prostututes..you know. . .let’s get the Word out ..let’s incarnate and do it empowered by the Holy Spirit. Let’s be the ‘Unstoppable Force’ what’s the next step?
