Class Locations

Franson is on the William Carey University campus. KidsMosaic has programming in Franson on Sunday mornings, and there is often other Mosaic-related events here. The auditorium in the Franson Building will be now used often for dance classes. There is great flooring for dance as well as plenty of space for larger classes. In the near future, we hope to add mirrors. The address is 1539 E. Howard Street, Pasadena, CA 91104. Franson is right next to Mott Auditorium and is also right off of Howard Street. See the map.

Mott Auditorium is on the William Carey University campus. This is where Mosaic meets Sunday mornings in Pasadena. The address is 1539 E. Howard Street, Pasadena, CA 91104. At the end of Howard Street there is a parking lot. Mott Auditorium is the large building right next to that parking lot. See the map.

The Mayan Theatre is in downtown Los Angeles. This is where Mosaic meets Sunday evenings for gatherings. The class will take place in the basement of the Mayan. The address is 1038 South Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA.

First of all, I’m so bummed I didn’t get to make it for the 80s Jazz class - I even had my headband and leg warmers ready to go!

Secondly, I want to make a note about the ballroom class on Tuesday, the 4th. It’s not Intermediate in the level of patterns so much as it is in the level of dancer. In other words, the class will focus on technique, quality, and partnership more than on a quantity of “steps.” Some basic footwork will be taught, but needs to be learned quickly so as to allow for more emphasis on other ballroom elements. All in all … not meant for a beginning dancer, but perfect for an experienced dancer with little or no ballroom training.

PS The class doesn’t start until 8:30.

P.S. Don’t forget your shoes! Ballroom rarely goes well in bare feet … and by rarely, I mean only if the sole of your foot is made of felt.
