He isn’t here.

Can you imagine the women’s shock? They came to the tomb expecting to grieve. Instead, they were met with an empty tomb.

The angel’s words cut through the darkness of death with world-shaking hope: “He is not here. He has risen. Death didn’t win. Fear didn’t win. Jesus is alive—and everything has changed.

This moment wasn’t just the end of a long night—it was the beginning of a new creation. Resurrection means nothing is truly dead when Jesus is involved. Even the places in your life that feel buried—your hope, your purpose, your joy—can rise again.


MATTHEW 28:5–6

5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay."

Jesus, you are alive! Thank You for defeating death and rising again. Your resurrection changes everything. Breathe resurrection life into every part of me that feels hopeless or dead. Help me live with the boldness and joy of someone who knows the tomb is empty. I’m alive because You are alive! Amen.
