What do we do when we feel like we’re getting off course? When God spoke something promising to us but now it seems so far out of reach and today is filled with mystery? It’s easy to get distracted and feel discouraged. But getting off course forces us to be present in things we have control over. It forces us to move on what we do have clarity in.Paul reminds us what is like to hold out for hope in situations we have no control over.

In Acts 27:24-25 An angel reminds Paul, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’  So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as He told me.” Paul was beaten, shunned, attacked, and wrongly imprisoned, but still he saw an opportunity. We must remember no matter what-we are who God says we are!

Jesus will be with us amidst our challenges and troubles. We can still fulfill the life God has called us to regardless of life’s obstacles. Paul’s destination was 30 years in the making. In moments when we can’t see, we often feel unsure how to overcome. But we know than God will be faithful to us, and that we are still who God created us to be. He will see us through to the destination in front of us.

“Faith is having confidence that what God has spoken into you remains even when the destination seems too far out of reach” - Lawrence Fudge
