The Path To Inner Peace
Erwin McManus | May 17, 2020

In this era of social media, it’s easy to get caught in the comparison trap. Life can feel unfair and circumstances may feel as though they have put us in positions that feel out of our control. At times, it can feel as though who we are now is who we always have to be. In the contrary, Jesus gives us an identity rooted in who He is. We were not born short-changed. And if we always need others to believe in us, we become dependent on what others believe.

It’s often confused that provision creates vision. In this week’s message, based on Ecclesiastes 9, Pastor Erwin encourages us that the opposite is true. It is vision that creates provision. When you begin to move with intention, it creates a new space for God to do something extraordinary! Don’t be afraid to shake things up.

As we navigate through this uncertain time together, we get to decide to take ownership of our influence. God is going to make tomorrow better than today and we are not limited by what we do not have. We can’t allow the disbelief of others to be our excuse for not living in faith. We are also reminded that we are not limited by what other people don’t know. Most importantly, we don’t need position, power, fame, or followers to be heard. We can move forward with exactly what God has given us, and trust that it is always more than enough.

“The moment you humble yourself and allow God shape who you are, you will have all the resources you need to make all the difference in the world that you’re created to make.” - Erwin McManus
