Have you ever found yourself in that in-between space—where hope feels distant and it seems like nothing is happening?

That’s what this day must have felt like. Jesus was gone. The Savior who once walked among them, healed the sick, and calmed storms—now laid lifeless in a tomb. Hope, it seemed, had vanished. The world was heavy with silence, darkness, and despair.

And yet… even in this moment, there was one man who quietly held onto something deeper. Joseph of Arimathea—described as someone “waiting for the kingdom of God”—stepped forward with courage. He dared to act in faith when everything looked lost.
Maybe you're in a season like that—in-between what was and what’s next. A season of confusion, sorrow, or silence. If so, take heart. Even in the waiting, even in the silence… God is still working.

Resurrection is coming.

LUKE 23:50–56

50 Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man 51 who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea, and he himself was waiting for the kingdom of God 52 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body. 53 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid.

54 It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin. 55 The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. 56 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.

What “waiting room” are you sitting in today? How can you trust God even when He feels silent?

Lord, it’s hard to wait. It’s hard to sit in the silence and not see You move. But I believe you’re still working, even when I don’t see it. Help me hold on to hope and keep trusting You in the middle of the unknown.
